The Community Hygiene Bank (CHB) now serves about 5000 people every year; aged infancy to elders with needed hygiene items. The CHB relies on cash and in kind donations from individuals, organizations and through various grants.
We want to specifically give thanks to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They blessed us with a $10,000 grant in 2022 that helped provide Hygiene products from their
“Bishop’s Storehouse”; a facility that warehouses needed food and hygiene items for families in need. We also recieved some cash as well.
This past Saturday we picked up our hygiene order for our next distribution to the public on Saturday, January 14th.
Volunteers at the “Storehouse” pack and load our order. Our own CHB volunteer, Tom McDonough, drove our rented UHaul to the Palmyra Storehouse on Saturday and unloaded our inventory with another volunteer, Dan Buckner when we arrived “home” at Jubilee.
We are ready to help our community members in need on Saturday January 14, from 11am-1:00pm.
